Touraine from the viewpoint of a Japanese woman. It is the object of an exhibition of painting in the city of St Cyr sur Loire, at the north of Tours, visible in the House Charles X. Its oil paintings mix the landscapes with the Loire Valley and with the flowers.
It is not really surprising to find works of Reiko in the House Charles X because the park of the Perraudière became one of the principal sources of inspiration of this Japanese artist, and especially in autumn when the park is filled with the cyclamens.
Reiko is today a painter recognized in France where she got many prizes, one of them is Grand Prix of Art et Poesie de Touraine last year, it is difficult to believe but Reiko is entirely an autodidact.
Large oil paintings of Reiko which marry the precision of the drawing and the richness of the colors are not only facet of her talent, but of typical Japanese art of the calligraphy of the watercolour appear in the menu of this exhibition which continues until August 15, 2006.
